Sealed proposals for furnishing Single-Phase Padmounted Distribution Transformers as specified shall be received on behalf of the City of Kings Mountain, North Carolina on or before 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Proposals shall be publicly opened and read at the office of Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc. located at 4700 Suite D1, Lebanon Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28227.
Proposals should be addressed to the Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc., PO Box 690638, Charlotte, NC 28227 Attention: Mr. Robert Thomas (Physical address of 4700-D1 Lebanon Road, Charlotte, NC 28227).

A certified check or cashier’s check payable to City of Kings Mountain or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the total proposal shall be submitted with each proposal. Proposals may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the date of receipt.
The bid deposit or bid bond shall be retained by the City of Kings Mountain if the successful bidder fails to execute the Contract or fails to provide the required performance bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after award of the Contract.
The City of Kings Mountain reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal which is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The City of Kings Mountain invites and encourages participation in this bidding process by minority business enterprises.
