Holds
Terms like reserve, hold, and request have the same meaning in the library. All of these terms mean that your name is placed on a waiting list for library material. You may place a hold:
Notification When Holds Are Available
You will receive notice by phone, text or e-mail, whichever you have requested.
The library will hold the item at the service desk for one week.
If you no longer need the item, please inform the library as soon as possible and the next person in line will be notified of item availability.
Picking Up a Hold Item
In order to protect your privacy, the library will release the requested materials only to you. If you want someone else to pick up library material, give the person your library card. If another person has your card in their possession, the library will assume you have consented to the transaction and will release the material to that person.
