North Carolina Firefighter Certification at time of employment offer.

Candidates will then receive dates for written exam.
After successful completion of written exam, candidates will be scheduled for physical agility.
Candidates will be graded on both written exam and physical agility. Qualifying candidates will receive date and time for panel board interview.
Candidates will be ranked by scores and qualifying candidates will receive Chiefs Interview.
From this point leading candidate will receive conditional offer from the Chief at the time of opening within the City of Kings Mountain Fire Department.

State Retirement Enrollment – Employee contributes 6%; city contributes 10.15%
